ABC and NBC have tied last week in the 18-49 demographic. Added viewers from two replays of Heroes boosted the network up enough to tie ABC in the ratings. They were able to do this due to a rule change in the Nielsen Media Research. While other networks disapproved, Heroes jumped to 17 million viewers from Saturday's replay of the season 2 opener. Without the boost from replaying Episode 1 "Four Months Later", ABC would have won outright. It was also the first time in more than 10 years ABC had won the first week of the TV season viewership; CBS came in second.
