The 2007/2008 writers strike is a strike organized by american writers who are members of either the Writers Guild of America, East (WGAE) and the Writers Guild of America, West (WGAW). Both the WGAE and WGAW are writers unions for writers in the film,radio, and television industries in the United States. Although the strike was not called until November 2th 2007 and did not begin until November 5th of 2007, there have been signs of trouble for the last few years.

Though he has now found fame as the man who created the NBC hit show; “Heroes”, Tim Kring has had a long career as a screenwriter and television producer. But he started out on a very different course, graduating from the University of Santa Barbara with a bachelor of arts degree in religious studies before deciding to study film.

NBC's hit show Heroes is almost in it's 3rd season. Heroes is one of the biggest shows in television. It has spawned many, many fan sites and even a G4 Television show that shows then discusses each episode. Heroes has a following of millions and millions of loyal fans and viewers, but there's still many, many people out there that haven't watched Heroes before. Some don't think they can start now because the show had been going for a while. People think they can't jump in because they won't understand the plot or characters. They are wrong.
