Character's powers and abilities

The Haitian has the ability to erase the memories of others.  He can wipe out their entire memory or selectively remove portions of it.  The haitian is one of the few characters on the series who has total control of his ability.  Once erased the Haitian cannot restore any memory he has removed.  His powers are so strong that if used repeatedly on the same person it can cause an adverse physiological effect on the person.

The Haitian can also negate the powers and abilities of other's within an unknown distance of himself.  His control of this ability is just as developed and his memory cleaning skills.  He can block some from using their powers while allowing others to.  This power is weaker than the other though, and some characters have demonstrated the ability to overcome his blocks but only with great effort.

Character's background

The Haitian first discovered his ability to inhibit other powers as a child when he inadvertently stops his fathers ability during an attack on their village.  When first discovered by "the company" he does not speak, and only describes his ability by drawing a picture of himself pulling worms out of people's heads.

His loyalty lies with Mr. Bennet (portrayed by Jack Coleman), Claire Bennet (portrayed by Hayden Panettiere), and Angela Petrelli (portrayed by Cristine Rose).  He has crossed paths with almost every main character during season 1.
