Character's powers and abilities

Harnessing the power of precognition, Isaac depicts images of the future while in a trance-like state. When in his trance his pupils and irises fade to a washed out white color and he becomes unresponsive to anything but his paintings. He holds no secrets about what he paints. He cannot tell you anything about the people, places, or events his minds eye has painted, all he can attest to is it will happen.

Character's background

Isaac's story begin in the first episode. A tortured struggling artist battling a drug addiction he is trying to hold on to his girlfriend, Simone Deveaux (portrayed by Tawny Cypress). On the verge of giving up painting Isaac realizes that he can see ambiguous future events in his work. Assuming they are evil and a side effect of the heroin he attempts to destroy the paintings.

Simone saw them as artistically impressive and takes them before Isaac can destroy them, while doing so Isaac overdoses. Frantic Simone brings in a nurse (who happens to be Peter Petrelli), who saves Isaac. After recovering, he comes to terms with his newfound ability and accepts it as his destiny to save New York City from a large nuclear-level mushroom cloud explosion he paints during one of his trances.

Disapproving of Isaac using drugs to paint, Simone leaves him. She returns to Isaac in the forth episode requesting new paintings for a showing at her art gallery. During her time away from Isaac, Simone has developed a relationship with Peter Petrelli (portrayed by Milo Ventimiglia), which Isaac knows about. He even drew her and Peter kissing under an umbrella in the rain. Furious, Simone accuses of Isaac following her, he tells her he drew that 7 weeks ago. Needing money for more drugs Isaac lets Simone take the painting she wants and leaves again.
