Character's Powers and abilities 

Angela has no known powers or abilities.

Character's Background

There is no real known history on Angela prior to the start of the series.  She had been married 41 years leading up to her husband's death.  She raised Nathan (portrayed by Adrian Pasdar) and Peter (portrayed by Milo Ventimiglia) on her own while Dallas (late husband) was away at war.  Since her husband's death, she has become increasingly blunt and free to speak and do as she wishes.

As a cry for attention Angela is caught shoplifting a pair of socks during Nathan's Congressional campaign.  Seemingly unaware of everything going on around her, she is really quite in tune with her sons and their secrets.  She is also aware of Claire (portrayed by Hayden Panettiere) being Nathan's daughter and prior to Nathan knowing about this she has been revealed discussing Claire and her whereabouts with the Haitian (portrayed by Jimmy Jean-Louis).

Later in the series Angela reveals to Nathan that she has been working with Linderman (portrayed by Malcolm McDowell).  She urges Nathan to have faith in the time and care she has put into this reality and to have faith in his destiny to become President.  Though aligned with Linderman this has not kept her from keeping Claire a secret and out of his hands.

During the season 2 opener she becomes marked for death.  She receives a torn photograph of herself with a red helix drawn over her face.  The person on the other piece of the photo is Kaito Nakamura (portrayed by George Takei), who is brutally murdered that night by being thrown from the roof of the Deveaux building.  His photo was marked just the same as Angela's.

Attempting to cover up and protect the secrets of all those with powers Angela confesses to the police that she shoved Kaito from the roof.  During interrogation she lets Parkman read her mind, telling him she is doing this to protect them all.  While outside of the interrogation room she is attacked by someone invisible.
